Janet mason obituary |Janet died in October of this year. At the time of her death, Janet was a resident of Los Angeles, California. She was a majorette at Avalon High School, where she stomped the grounds and twirled her baton as a major. On Saturday, there will be a memorial service to honor the lives of those lost to suicide.

Mason died away peacefully. She was the daughter of Robert R. Mason Sr., who was born in Holyoke on March 28, 1965.

and the Granby resident Marion (Cook) Mason. More than 20 years ago, Janet moved to Chicopee from Granby. At Community Health Development in Holyoke, she worked as a receptionist for 17 years. At the Church of Christ in Granby, Janet was a member, and she was a member of the Granby 4H equestrian team. She

music, and spending time at her parents camp in Stark, New Hampshire were two of her favorite pastimes. She was at her happiest there. Additionally, in addition to her parents, she leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law in W.Brookfield; a sister in Monson; and a brother-in-law in Monson.

Dear nieces and nephews Kaitlyn Furtado, Karlie Mason, Tasondra Jardine, Richard Jardine and Michael Jardine and Doucette of Holyoke are all sending their love and good wishes. Janet’s siblings, Robert (dead in 2007) and Jennifer (died in 1980), preceded her in death. On Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be a visitation at the Beers & Story.

Funeral services are held at the Belchertown Funeral Home. On Saturday at 10:00 a.m., there will be a funeral ceremony at the Church of Christ in Granby. Please come to the church and congregate. In the future, there will be no burial. Donations in her honor can be donated to the Granby Church of Christ.” Janet Dixon Mason, a beloved member of the family, has passed away.

Sam’s mother-in-law and grandmother to Samuel’s kids Sammy and Zachary, as well as Samuel’s late husband, Samuel N. Mason Sr. Her grandchildren, Kendall, Pam, Michelle, Ryan, Jeff, and Rachel, as well as her great-grandchildren, Tara, were all in awe of her and affectionately referred to her as “Meemaw.”

Robby, Kera, Ashley, Jocelyn, Alex, Morgan, Tyler, Maston, Kyndall, Hannah, Talton, and Zoey are just a few of the people we’re proud to call friends. Janet was a lovely, powerful, and spiritual woman who was devoted to her family and never put anything else above them. All those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her will miss her. Janet received a degree from the university.

In 1956, students from North Hagerstown High School were graduating. She worked with Hagerstown Trust until 1993, when she decided to retire. Paramount Baptist Church and Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 were two of Janet’s favorite places of worship.

One daughter, Pamela Mose (Richard) of Smithsburg and Cheryl Staubs (Pamela’s husband Richard) of Sharpsburg, MD; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her husband Paul Hilson Mason, 64 years.

Son Paul Stuart Mason, sister Donna Houser, and son-in-law Keith Staubs all died before her.

Pastor Josh Fields will officiate at the 11:00 a.m. service on November 15, 2021, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.

The funeral home will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021, for family and friends to visit.

The Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, Maryland, will serve as the last resting place for the deceased.
